Find out if he drinks and if he does, get him drunk - you’ll learn more about his sober thoughts. Discover his addictions. See if he puts you in front of them. You can’t change people, baby girl. The Nerdy Debate at Work

My coworker got “offended” because how I described him included “nerdy”….so it went on for like a half hour on whether or not he’s a nerd. He’s totally not, but he has nerdy…interests…that’s the best way I can explain it but anyway…

He was trying to give me alternative ‘titles’ that’d he fall under better besides nerd, so he gives me the term “grup” and tells me to look it up on urbandictionary.com.

First definition:

A grown-up in the minority, finding themselves among younger people. Coined by Adrian Spies, writer of the Star Trek episode featuring a post-apocalyptic world where only teenagers survived.

I started laughing. He’s trying to defend himself by saying he’s not a nerd, and then gives me a term connected to Star Trek.

He just stared at the screen, and blinked and went, “Shit.”

Omg it was the funniest thing ever.
